River Lodge
River Lodge is a sophisticated interpretation of the traditional safari lodge, with light and bright contemporary décor, and limited walls allowing a flow between the inside and out. Wooden walkways lead off to a spa, gym and pool, and back to the main lodge, where the deck’s connected water features give the impression of floating on the river. Whether you enjoy your time socially or quietly in the bar, restaurant, MORE Gallery or firepit lounge, the theme here is luxury living.
The lodge’s eight Luxury Rooms, six Superior Luxury Rooms and four River Suites are spaced along a path to reveal splendid river views and make for a very personal safari stay. The River Suites, each fronted by a plunge pool and set further away from the main lodge, are the most spacious and private – and also include a Family Suite. It’s for you to choose which accommodation best suits you – but the extraordinary view comes standard.
Ivory Lodge
Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is situated in the Lion Sands Game Reserve, one of Africa’s truly unspoiled wilderness areas, in the heart of the game-rich Sabi Sand Reserve adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The lodge is about overriding exclusivity with complete privacy as each suite is operated as a private villa; ultra-luxurious, yet simple and uncluttered.
For a truly unforgettable experience, Chalkey Treehouse and Kingston Treehouse offer the guests the unique experience of sleeping under the stars in a luxurious and safe setting. Guests will dine under the stars before falling asleep listening to the nighttime noises of the nearby game.
Tinga Lodge
A sophisticated safari experience in nine waterside havens, capturing the romance of the pioneer era, in considerably more comfort. Tinga Lodge’s exclusive accommodations are set apart on a high bank up from the Sabie River. Suites feel definitely private with their own plunge pool and deck overlooking the water and make the most of a view that often sees wildlife passing through. From the Suites, elevated wooden pathways lead off to a spa sala and the main lodge – with its bar lounge, library, poolside and boma offering spaces to share good company or spend some quiet moments on your own.
Narina Lodge
Lion Sands' Narina Lodge has a wonderful sense of remoteness and peace. The nine luxury Suites are perch on stilts among 100-year-old trees just up from the Sabie River, and link to a spa sala and intimate lodge via elevated walkways. This shared space is enhanced by natural décor and open design, extending out to generously furnished decks. From here there are views of animals feeding on the opposite bank, and you can engage in the social chatter this inevitably stirs or meditate on the rustle of the leaves.
Hi' Nkweni Villa
The Villa’s complete privacy and highly personalised service – including a dedicated hospitality team, your own field guide and game viewer vehicle – make it ideal for multigenerational families or groups of friends looking to relax and explore. It’s just the setting to move from safari to sun lounger and back again, distracted only by scenic drinks stops and opportunities to spa.
Fish Eagle Villa
Fish Eagle Villa gives you your own private piece of Africa, between the bush and the river. Fish Eagle Villa has more than enough space to spread out and make yourself completely at home. Two en-suite bedrooms can sleep four adults and another two children, each on an extra single bed in their parent’s rooms.

Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game drives are included in your stay. Lion Sand's private reserve conserves 10 000ha of habitat that is home to the highest and most diverse concentration of wildlife in the southern hemisphere. You can see all of Africa’s iconic species here, including all of the Big Five, along with a supporting cast of no less intriguing 137 mammal species and over 450 varieties of bird – while having minimal encounters with other people.
Junior Guests
Children of all ages are accepted in Fish Eagle Villa (Ivory Lodge) and Hi'Nkweni Villa (Tinga Lodge). Kids of 10 and over are welcome at all other lodges.
Mack & Madi Kids’ Adventure Explorers is not just a kids’ club – it’s an all-around family experience that makes taking a safari with children child’s play with specially-planned activities and excursions to give children the freedom to have fun and explore. Led by their field guide, kids explore the wonders of the African bush. Just some of their adventures include bush bumbles (children’s game drives), animal ‘spoor’ casting and tracking, Bug CSI, and basic bush survival.
Spa
Between safaris, you’ll have the luxury of free time – how better to indulge than with a visit to the spa at River or Ivory Lodge where they use natural Africology and TheraNaka products.
Between safaris, they offer Africology spa journeys guided by expert therapists in the peaceful retreat of open-air salas – a luxury unique to Africa. These wilderness spas, found at Tinga and Narina Lodges, allow you to slip away for a while and re-emerge centred and rejuvenated.
